The Doors - Riders on the Storm
Some of his most distinctive work in this song, though really you could say that about most Doors songs.
Peanut Butter Granola
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup oats
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. Combine peanut butter and honey in a bowl and microwave until peanut butter melts (approximately 20 seconds). Stir.
Stir cinnamon and vanilla into peanut butter and honey mixture. Add oats and stir until oats are completely covered in peanut butter mixture. Spread out oat mixture onto prepared cookie sheet and bake for 7 -8 minutes until granola is slightly browned. Let cool until granola is crunchy.

Booker T & The MGs - Green Onions
Garden 2013
The herb and vegetable parts, anyway. The fruit, flower, and foliage parts are elsewhere. The tomato plant that’s already going crazy is the Early Girl; I’ve got some heirloom, Roma, and Beefmaster varieties in there, too. The cucumber is already not looking great. :( I have already snipped some dill, basil, and oregano for kitchen use.
I haven’t successfully gotten a single tomato to grow for two years, so I am really hoping the containers and fancy soil in them work. The soil beneath the containers is going to be composted weekly this summer in an attempt to make it usable again. It’s pretty much worthless as is for growing things.

What a treat to hear the arrangements being worked out on this classic tune. From the recent “Odessey and Oracle” deluxe box.

Green Chucks
Trying to get back into the swing of drawing. Why do I only ever seem to want to draw or paint in the spring and summer?

Since I redid the bathroom, the walls have been almost entirely empty. This will not stand, as I require gallery walls on every wall. I like a lot of different stuff up there, what can I tell you.
I found a fabulous vintage scarf for $2 at a thrift store last weekend that I knew would be perfect, in era, (’70s) color, (I redid the room in various wood finishes, gold, red and white … and that crazy paisley shower curtain you see up there) and style (a sort of boho/fern bar look).
Frames in the right size (26 X 26) run $50; a canvas from the art supply store runs $15. I got one today and tacked the scarf to the canvas as best I could. Voila!

Van Morrsion - Call Me Up in Dreamland (by djpaul2020)
Candle decor I put together with a few decorative stones, white emergency candles and a glass jar. I had all these things lying around, doing nothing; might as well make them earn their keep and look pretty.

Avocados
As pretty as I find this arrangement, at least one or two of these (there’s actually three in the bowl) will become part of an avocado egg salad tomorrow.
